uBreakiFix

uBreakiFix is a tech repair service by Asurion that claims to offer low-cost repairs and free diagnostics. They are not a warranty or insurance plan but are a repair option. Unfortunately, they do not list prices on their website, so you’d have to wait until after your free diagnostic to know how much the repair will cost.
uBreakiFix will repair common smartphone problems such as broken screens, camera issues, cracks in the external casing, and battery problems. They have locations in 40 states, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and Canada. You can take your device to a local store, mail it in with free 1-day round trip shipping, or, in some eligible areas, have them come to you. This may be convenient for some people, but people in more rural areas where they don’t have a location will have to rely on the mail-in option. That can be a hassle, especially if you don’t know what you’ll end up paying for the repair.

Samsung Care+

Samsung Care+ is the extended warranty option offered directly from Samsung and is the second-best Samsung warranty plan. This plan covers mechanical and accidental damage, such as drops and spills. It also includes $29 phone screen repairs.
You can pay for Samsung Care+ monthly or at once. For example, it would cost $99 for a 2-year plan or $5 per month for a $799.99 128GB Samsung Galaxy S22. If you pay it monthly, that ends up being $120 over two years. Adding on theft and loss protection would cost $12.99 per month or $311.76 over two years. The plan has a deductible of $99 and only allows three claims in 12 months. However, the repairs are a little more convenient since you can get your phone repaired with any Samsung authorized technician.

Cell Phone Carrier Insurance

Many cell phone carriers, like Verizon and T-Mobile, offer their own Samsung insurance plans. Verizon uses Asurion for its Verizon Mobile Protect plan. For a 128 GB Galaxy S22, it costs $17 a month, added to your phone bill. Over two years that adds up to $408. This protects against mechanical damage, accidental damage, and loss and theft. Like Samsung Care+, it provides $29 cracked screen repairs. For all other repairs, there is a $229 deductible.
T-Mobile partners with Assurant to power their T-Mobile Protection 360 insurance. Like the other plans, it protects against mechanical damage, accidental damage, loss, and theft, as well as provides $29 screen repairs. It will cost $18 monthly for a 128GB Galaxy S22, adding up to $432 over two years. In addition, there is a $99 deductible for accidental damage and $249 for loss or theft.

Upsie Samsung Warranty

The most affordable Samsung warranty plan is from Upsie. With Upsie, you can purchase an Smartphone Subscription warranty that costs just $9.99 per month. This is significantly more affordable than plans from phone carriers. Upsie's $0 cracked screen deductible is also more affordable than Samsung Care+. This means that if you crack your phone screen, you don't have to pay a deductible to get the screen repaired. In addition, you can purchase an Upsie warranty for any smartphone in normal working condition, even if you bought the phone two years ago! You don't even need a smartphone receipt to sign up.
Upsie also has easy and convenient claims and repair processes. To file a claim, you can use the online form or call the claims center that is open 24/7/365. Once your claim is approved, Upsie will help you identify a local certified repair center, or you can mail it to Upsie’s repair center with free 2-day round-trip shipping.
