Galaxy Note Versus Galaxy S Smartphones

At the top tier of Samsung’s family of phones, the Samsung Note series and the Galaxy S series both represent the best the company has to offer. However, Samsung officially discontinued the Note series in 2022. Still, you can find used models at an incredibly affordable price.
The Samsung Note 20 and the Galaxy S Series each have more storage, more internal RAM, and better cameras than the less elaborate Galaxy “A” series and its older phones like the S9 and S10 models. Even though Samsung doesn't plan to release more Note phones, it's still a competitive option.
The Galaxy S and Note are both superb phones, and choosing one over the other depends upon one’s personal preferences. We compared Galaxy Note versus the newest Galaxy S smartphone models to help you select the best one.

Is the Galaxy S22 Better Than the Note 20?

Specifications play a big role in deciding which is the better phone, so here’s a feature-by-feature comparison between the two. The most notable difference between them, however, is the stylus that makes the Samsung Note 20 a superb choice for anyone who wants to write notes, clip and edit videos, or create artwork on the go.

Is the Galaxy Note 10 Better than the Galaxy S10?

Until 2020, the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 were Samsung’s top-of-line phones, but they’re now both replaced by the S22 and Note 20. The Note 10 provides all the features of the Galaxy S10, except for the 3.5mm phone jack and micro SD slot, which are missing from the Note 10. Considering the Note 10 is essentially a repackaging of the S10 with an S Pen stylus, many would argue the Note 10 is the superior phone. A price reduction for the Note 10 from $949 to less than $500 is also in its favor. Although you can no longer purchase the Note 10 from Samsung, you can still buy it from some retailers.

What Is the New Samsung Galaxy Phone?

Samsung keeps the market humming with a regular stream of new products. Introduced in August 2020, the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are great smartphones. You can find models for cheap from some retailers. The best phone that Samsung sells now is the S22 Ultra. However, Samsung also sells the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4.

Which Samsung S Series is Best?

Samsung announced the “S” series in 2010 and has sold ten variations of that design for the last decade. Without question, the latest S22 Ultra and S22 Plus editions are fabulous Android phones.

Which Galaxy Note is Best?

The same logic applies here. Samsung and technology in general have experienced gigantic advances in the past ten years. However, Samsung has discontinued the line. If you want a stylus-equipped phone, consider the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Which Samsung Phone has the Best Camera?

Once again, today’s modern tech wins. Both phones boast three cameras and a selfie camera. One of the main cameras uses a 108-megapixel camera. Another takes telephoto pictures, while the third uses LIDAR to measure the distance to the subject and its background so photographers can apply special effects. For instance, you can blur the background of the photo by adjusting depth of field.
If you're looking for the best phone camera from Samsung, the S22 series is the clear winner.

What is the Best Protection Plan for Samsung Phones?

When you’re spending top dollar for Samsung phones, you’ll want an extended warranty that protects you against risks both during the manufacturer’s warranty and after it expires. Samsung offers a warranty plan, but we believe that the Upsie subscription plan is superior to Samsung Care+. Upsie protects your phone against cracked screens and liquid immersions. Upsie also covers battery failure, power failures, touch screen failure, camera, headphone jack, wifi, audio, and Bluetooth issues. Best of all, Upsie prices are far lower than SquareTrade, Verizon, AT&T, Best Buy, and other big box retailer plans.
You can buy Upsie’s extended warranty protection any time for both new, used, or old phones, but your safest bet is to get your phone covered as soon as you get it. Give us a call at 877-844-7745 or visit Upsie.com.
